Open your heart and say this prayer, "Lord, I have sinned against You, forgive me. I know that You died on the cross for me and today I want to open my heart to believe and receive You as my Lord and Savior, and to walk in Your will for the rest of my life. Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen"

True God, True Promises

The strength of a promise depends on who have spoken it. Our True and Almighty GOD is capable of giving us True and Almighty promises where we can put our hope to.

Read Isaiah 46:1-4

Body:

I. Bel and Nebo - the false gods (v.1)

   A. False gods are not only graven images, but instead, anything or anyone where you give importance greater than God in your life, is a false god/idol of yours.
   B. False gods are those things that drag you away from God, because you are putting them first.
   C. False gods are those things where people put there hope to rather than God.

II. False gods bring forth heaviness (vv. 1-2)

  A.  Even if you serve them, all that is waiting for you is failure (I Kings 18, Baal's prophets losing to Elijah)
  B. They can't help you because they can't even help themselves (Judges 6:25-32)

III. The True God and His True Promises (vv. 3-4)

  A.  All who trust Him is authorized to receive His promises.
  B.  From your birth until you grow old, the True God is by your side (Psalms 37:25)
  C. He created you, not to forsake you, but to save you. (Genesis 3:21)

Conclusion:
The promises of God are true, because He is true. These are faithful because He is faithful. If you really know your God, you know for sure that trusting Him is a SURE thing.

God bless us all!
